Highways Scaffolding Applications: Pavement Permit
The Isle of Wight local authority, employing Island Roads recently implemented a new Highways Scaffolding Application (Pavement Permit) to erect scaffolding on or over the highway. This has made the application process more complex, but for the right reasons and is certainly an improvement towards health and safety standards for scaffolding companies working on the highway. SASC can carry out the application for the main contractor or scaffolding company, fulfilling all the newly introduced requirements.
